Waterproof Tiled Shower Systems

I bring a building science background to your bathroom remodel project. Products I use are Schluter®-KERDI systems and GoBoard® by Johns Manville. These membrane systems do not allow water or water vapor that soaks past the grouting into the walls, corners, floors or curbs.

I have worked in the residential remodeling industry for 20 years and I am surprised how few installers use waterproofing techniques prior to setting new tiles. Some installers think using cement wall board instead of drywall in the shower is good enough. Installing only Sheetrock and tile allows water to soak into the walls, which over time, never dries out.

Unique Wood Entry Doors

These custom entry doors are solid knotty alder wood with an oversized 40” width and a 2 1/8″ thickness. The Emtek handleset has a hand carved mortised lock box built into the door.  Emtek offers several style options for the handleset. When you close the door you hear a solid ‘kerchunk’, a similar sound to the heavy car doors of the 1970’s when leaded gasoline was slowly making all of us sick.

Kitchen upgrades

Kitchen remodels can be intimidating. Everything must work together. The appliances need to slip into the cabinet layout seamlessly. I have completed more than 50 kitchen remodels. I have options for affordable new cabinetry, either stained or painted finish, in several door styles. I also have the option of building custom cabinet (see above) with open shelving and integrated led lighting. A product I use for finishing custom cabinetry is Rubio Monocoat and I encourage you to visit the manufacturer’s website for more information. This is the same product I use on custom furniture.
